AFFORDABLE HOUSING

As a planning commissioner, I served on the Affordable Housing Nexus committee and have been fighting to bring more affordable housing to Santa Clara -- not just at 100% of the Area Median Income but also for people making $40,000 for a family of 4.

I worked hard to help win 43 extra affordable housing units at the Gateway Crossings project in 2020 beyond what staff was recommending.

I have been interested in building microunits and in getting the City to zone some projects with microunits by adopting form based zoning codes. We need places where our kids can afford to live.
